Afgelopen dinsdag heeft Wendy Broers haar PhD getiteld ‘Are energy decisions about energy? A study of homeowners’ decision-making processes in the transition to low-carbon housing in the Netherlands’ met succes verdedigd.
Haar onderzoek gaat in op de verscheidenheid en diversiteit van bewoners, en hoe dat hun keuzes om verduurzamingsmaatregels te treffen beïnvloed. Haar pleidooi is dat huiseigenaren en huurders beter begrepen moeten worden om hen te helpen goede keuzes te maken. Daarom heeft ze onderzoek gedaan naar welke factoren het beslissingsproces van bewoners beïnvloed, om deze beter begrijpbaar te maken.
We zijn trots dat Wendy onderdeel is van ons lectoraat en feliciteren haar met het behalen van haar bul!

Last Tuesday, Wendy Broers received her PhD entitled ‘Are energy decisions about energy? A study of homeowners’ decision-making processes in the transition to low-carbon housing in the Netherlands’ successfully defended.
Her research examines the variety and diversity of residents, and how this influences their choices to take sustainability measures. Her plea is that homeowners and renters need to be better understood to help them make good choices. That is why she has conducted research into which factors influence the decision-making process of residents, to make them more understandable.
We are proud that Wendy is part of our professorship and congratulate her on obtaining her degree!
